Meet your instructor
Ellen graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2019 with a BA(Hons) Musical Theatre and works in the theatre industry as a performer. She has studied ballet and various other dance forms since the age of 4 and is very passionate about looking after her body and keeping fit. She was first introduced to Pilates in 2016 to aid her dance training and hasn't looked back since. Pilates is rooted in 5 basic principles of movement: breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular stabilisation and head and cervical placement. It is used to treat and prevent injury, allow for efficient movement patterns of the body and correct spinal alignment. During her dance training, Ellen received physiotherapy treatment for her injuries and realised Pilates was an extension of this practise and would enable her to prevent injury in the future. Ellen trained as a STOTT PILATES® Instructor in August 2020 and has been studying and expanding her knowledge ever since. She is very excited to begin teaching and to share her passion and knowledge with her new clients.
